Dr. Saumya Dave is a board-certified psychiatrist based in New York City. She completed her psychiatry residency training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where she was a chief resident and currently teaches a Narrative Medicine course. Dr. Dave has completed additional training in psychoanalysis with the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. She is a frequent contributor to NBC News, where she discusses a variety of mental health topics.
In her private practice, Dr. Dave uses an integrative, multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach. She believes in creating a unique treatment plan for each individual.
Dr. Dave is passionate about working with patients in areas such as immigrant mental health, self-care, career stressors, family conflict, women's mental health, relationship stressors, anxiety and depression, and life transitions.
Dr. Dave is an out-of-network provider and does not participate in any insurance plans. She is able to provide a superbill for patients to submit to their insurance companies for potential reimbursement.
